Student Honors Exhibit artist Lara Mullins Public invited to Rose Lehrman Art Gallery exhibit starting April 13
March 31, 2009
HARRISBURG – Each year members of the art faculty at the Harrisburg Campus of HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College, have an enormous task: select the best work from their students for the annual spring “Honors Exhibit.” This year, the exhibit is offered in two parts: April 13-24 and April 27-May 7.
About 400 art students submit one or two pieces from each of their classes to be juried by the faculty. The salon-style exhibit in the Rose Lehrman Art Gallery demonstrates the breadth and depth of HACC’s art programs as well as the talent and skill of the students. Subject matter and mediums range from self portraits to still-lifes in watercolor, oil or charcoal; abstract to functional ceramics, glass and jewelry; billboards to book covers in graphic design; and large outdoor sculpture.
The exhibit is supported by the HACC Student Government Association and prizes are awarded for the best work in each medium.
