Offered for the first time in Upper Dauphin area

HARRISBURG – For the first time HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College, will offer GED sessions and a noncredit Spanish class in the Upper Dauphin area.

Those interested in completing their GED certificate – General Education Development, the equivalent of a high school diploma - can register for sessions that prepare students for the GED exam. Classes are scheduled 6-8 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, March 24-April 30, at Upper Dauphin High School, 220 N. Church St., Elizabethville. There is no cost to attend.

HACC’s Continuing Education Center brings Spanish I to the New Life Center, 346 Center St., Millersburg, at the end of March.

The noncredit course is a level 1, conversational language course that teaches basic Spanish skills that can help with employment qualifications or for personal growth.

Sessions are held 6-8 p.m. Tuesdays, March 31-May 19. Cost is $150 per person and includes a textbook. Spanish I is designed for students 16 years of age and older.
