GETTYSBURG – Find out about the options and flexibility at HACC during the Get It Started open house from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 11, at the Gettysburg Campus of HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College, 731 Old Harrisburg Road.
Prospective students can speak with faculty and current students about attending HACC, learn about career options and how credits transfer to four-year schools. They can also find out about programs that lead directly to the work force.
“We host open houses like this one to show local residents that they have a lot of options when it comes to their college education,” said Heather Watt, coordinator of admissions and recruitment. “It’s a valuable opportunity to speak with our qualified faculty and current students about programs, see the facility and labs first-hand and have their questions answered.”
Along with learning about programs, visitors can check out the types of internship opportunities available and how HACC can help students conduct a job search. They can find out about the enrollment process, the ease of transferring credits to a four-year school, financial aid and scholarship information.
In addition, visitors can find out about HACC’s English as a Second Language and General Education Development programs offered in Spanish.
For a well-rounded college experience, prospective students can investigate student life, clubs and activities offered at the local campus.
