COVERAGE: | HACC President John J. “Ski” Sygielski, MBA, Ed.D., will confer degrees, diplomas and certificates to HACC students. Among the graduates is student speaker Kelly Jo Singleton of Lititz. At 57 years old, she is graduating with an associate degree in communication with a concentration in human communication, a program she was able to complete online and at HACC’s Lancaster Campus. Kelly said, “HACC has allowed me the opportunity to reach my goal of higher education, and I'm so grateful for it.” She plans to continue her education at Millersville University in Lancaster to obtain her bachelor’s degree in social work and eventually obtain her master’s degree. She added, “I'm not letting age or anything else stand in my way anymore of reaching my fullest potential.” Throughout her time at HACC, Kelly served as Vice Council Chair of HACC’s Virtual Learning Student Advisory Council (VLSAC) and received the Classroom Hero award for her encouragement of her online peers.
